Ryan Gribben and Cian Geraghty share the lead at the halfway stage of the CTI Business Solutions Irish PGA Assistants Championship.

Both players are seven-under-par through 36 holes at Ardee Golf Club, two shots ahead of Liam Power and Andrew Hickey.

Naas professional Gribben who was beaten in a playoff in Douglas last weekend, backed up an opening 65 with an afternoon 70 to set the clubhouse target on seven-under before Geraghty moved alongside him with rounds of 67 and 68.

Rathfarnham’s Power won the pro-am on Monday by a whopping six shots and he has maintained his form with rounds of 69 and 68 to share third place with Galway’s Hickey.

Liam Grehan of the K Club had a tale of two halves on Tuesday after he recovered from a morning 75 with an afternoon 65 to bump him back into contention on two-under-par and just five back of the leaders.
