Aine Donegan will make her debut amongst the pros in a Major at Pebble Beach after qualifying for the U.S. Women’s Open from Peninsula Golf Club on Monday.
Donegan’s 145 36-hole total was good enough to qualify in second spot and secure a dream pro event debut.
The Lahinch star, who plays her golf out of Louisiana State University, earned second team All-SEC honours in her first year in Baton Rouge and has been making strides Stateside since following so many of her Irish international teammates to the collegiate system in America.
Let’s go congratulations to Aine Donegan

That’s not to say a U.S. Women’s Open debut was on her radar, a Major debut on one of the world’s most iconic golf courses at Pebble Beach, but California’s now calling for Donegan where she’ll tee-up from July 6-9 alongside the likes of Ireland’s leading light on the LPGA, Leona Maguire.
From all here at IGM, Aine, congratulations on an incredible achievement!
