Hermitage Golf Club is proud to announce a new major 36 hole Scratch Cup Strokeplay competition for Men and Women which will be held on Saturday, 22nd July 2023.

The event will be sponsored by Golfnow and The Hudson rooms and the entry fee is €40 including lunch.

It is anticipated that this major one day 36 hole competition will attract participation from top amateur golfers both nationally and internationally and will be limited to the lowest 30 handicap entrants in each competition. The combined format will prove to be one of Leinster’s most prestigious club events in the golfing calendar.

Captain Frank Byrne and Lady Captain Regina Prenderville have said this Scratch Cup will provide a great opportunity for our top class golfers to play our course. The Captains added that they are delighted to host this event, which is in line with Golf Ireland’s policy of inclusion.

Hermitage GC has hosted the longest running Ladies Scratch Cup in Ireland and this year will also welcome the Senior Mens’ Open Championship from 24th – 26th May. Hermitage was founded in 1905 and won the prestigious award of ‘Best course in Leinster’ for the 4th time in 2023.

Hermitage Golf Club also has a long history of men and women international golfers, the latest being Kate Lanigan and Rowan Lester. Individual trophies will be presented to the winners of each Scratch Cup.

Entry Forms are available on the Hermitage website.
