Lauren Walsh secured her sixth top-10 finish of the season as Wake Forest won the strokeplay format of the ACC Championship.

Walsh finished fifth while the Deacs will now be top seeds for the Saturday match play section where they will face fourth-seed Virginia in the semi-finals.

Wake Forest was just one of two teams to shoot under-par in the third round as their nineteen-under total saw them romp to an eight shot win over Duke.

Castlewarden’s Walsh shot a third round 70 for a five-under total.

Having turned in one-under, the two-time Curtis Cup star birdied the par-3 12th and finished with six successive pars.

Douglas’ Sara Byrne finished T24th on five-over as Miami bowed out bottom of the leaderboard.

Canice Screen was 30th on plus six while Boston came second from bottom in the team standings.

Mairead Martin shared 39th place on eleven-over as Louisville shared 7th place.
