It’s four events and four top-10 finishes for Royal Dublin’s Max Kennedy after he shared fourth place at the General Hackler Championship.

A final round of level-par 72 saw Kennedy finish four shots behind joint winners Mats Age and Ben James on nine-under-par.

Opening rounds of 69 and 66 had the Louisville student right in the mix heading into the final round but after finding himself two-over after seven holes, settling for fourth place is a good achievement.

Kennedy posted birdies on 11, 15 and 16 to get back under par for the round but dropped a shot on 18.

A win can’t be too far away for the Dubliner who finished in second place behind Liam Nolan at the South American Amateur Championship, fifth in the Sea Best Invitational and ninth in the Prestige so far this year.

Louisville shared fourth place in the team leaderboard.

Meanwhile in the GCU Invitational, Portumna’s Sam Murphy finished in fourth place with rounds of 70, 68 and a strong 66 for a nine-under total.

His GCU teammates went on a final day charge, posting a combined twelve-under total for the low round of the day to finish in second place.

Josh McCabe shot a two-under 70 for 24th place.
