The Auburn star is five-under-par and just two shots off the early lead in a share of 5th place.
Foster carded six birdies with her only blemish coming on the par-4 15th.
The Elm Park golfer roared out of the traps with a brace of birdies before adding two more on the sixth and ninth to compete the front nine in 32.
Birdies on 11 and 17 sandwiched her dropped shot as she helped Auburn into a share of 4th on the team leaderboard.

MEANWHILE: A level-par 72 in the final round of the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invite saw Valerie Clancy climb eleven places and into a share of 15th place.
The Killarney golfer finished on nine-over-par, nine shots shy of winner Catie Craig of Western Kentucky who shot a superb 67 which proved to be a timely low round of the day and the week at Great Waters.
Clancy put together a stirling finish with two birdies in her last three holes to come home in 35 after a bogey, birdie, bogey run from the eleventh.
It was an eventful back nine after a rather boring outward half that included eight pars and a bogey on the fifth.
