Sean Keeling leads his brother Patrick by three shots in the amateur class heading into the final round of the Roda Open in Murcia.
Keeling is on eight-under-par after a first round 70 was backed up by a blistering 66 while his brother Patrick is on five-under after rounds of 71 and 68.
Both players are the pride of the junior academy at Roganstown Golf Club with Patrick winning the Murcia Amateur last weekend after Sean had picked up a win on the European Pro Golf Tour.
Sean looks set for his second win on the tour and he might scoop the overall as he trails Welsh duo Jake Hapgood and two-time DP World Tour winner Bradley Dredge by three shots.
Sean leads the amateur class by three but is third in the overall competition with Clandeboye’s Jonathan Caldwell a shot further back in fifth after a 69.
Keeling roared to the turn in 33 after birdies on 5, 7 and 8 before an eagle on the par-5 10th saw him charge into contention.
The teenager recovered from a bogey on 11 to post birdies on 14 and 16 to move three clear of his brother in the amateur category but keep himself in the hunt for another scalp over the pros in the overall.
While Patrick will be looking to hunt down his brother in the final round of the amateur class he will need something very special to claim the overall as he is six shots back.
He finished with three birdies in his last four holes to keep his hopes of pipping Sean to the post alive.
Caldwell fresh off a 59 in Royal County Down is four shots off the pace in the overall category on seven-under.
The 2021 Scandinavian Mixed winner carded six birdies and three bogeys as he warms up for a season on the Challenge Tour.
