Lauren Walsh brought an encouraging fall season to an end with a solid T-25th finish at the Landfall Tradition as Wake Forest claimed the runner-up spot in the team leaderboard at the Country Club of Landfall.

Walsh has registered three top-8 finishes already this season including a second-place finish at the Annika Intercollegiate in her opening event of the year.

The Castlewarden native posted rounds of 73, 71 and 72 to round off her fall on level-par, ten shots behind Charlotte Heath and Louisa Carlbom.

The two-time Curtis Cup star started her round on the third hole and birdies on the fourth and ninth saw her come out of the traps with a bang.

The Kildare woman was unable to mount a rousing final day charge with dropped shots on 13 and 17 but three closing pars rounded off her autumn on a solid note.

Wake Forest have also been in good form as a whole and the Deacs came up six shots shy of San Jose State on this occasion.
