Jack Madden was celebrating at the end of the Bubba Intercollegiate as his Arkansas State Red Wolves secured a dramatic win.

Teammate Devyn Pappas drained a birdie putt on the final hole to win the individual honours but also claim the team prize at RidgePointe Country Club. Portrush native Madden finished in a tie for twelfth place on one-over-par.

It’s the seventh time in succession that Arkansas State heve won the Bubba Intercollegiate finished with a fourteen-under-par total of 850 as they pipped Oklahoma by just two strokes.

Jack Hearn shot a final round of 74 for an eleventh place finish at the Tempest Collegiate at Tempest Golf Club.

The South Alabama students’s round was a rollercoaster and he might have been firmly in the mix had he not carded a triple bogey on the par-4 11th and a double bogey on the par-4 14th.

In the end his level-par total was five shots shy of Texas State golfer Tom Roed Karlsen who shot a blistering 66 to come from nowhere.

Hearn and South Alabama took second place on the team leaderboard with a three-under total.
