The lineups for four of the AIG All-Ireland Inter-Club competitions were completed last weekend, with 29 teams booking their places in Knightsbrook between 15-18 September.
In the AIG Men’s Junior Cup, Castle, Castletroy, Carrickfergus, County Cavan, County Sligo, Dundalk, Royal Curragh and Cork all advanced to the All-Ireland Quarter-Finals. County Sligo had the biggest win of the weekend, defeating Athlone 4.5-0.5 in the Connacht Final.
Castlebar, Clandeboye, Fota Island, Newlands, Royal Tara, Royal Portrush, Tullamore and Tralee all won their Regional Finals in the AIG Women’s Junior Cup.
The AIG Men’s Pierce Purcell Shield All-Ireland Finals will be contested by Abbeyleix, Castlebar, Clontarf, Dooks, Edmondstown, Lisburn, Lismore and Mayobridge. Leinster South winners Edmondstown impressed in a 4.5-0.5 win over Blainroe.
In the AIG Women’s Intermediate Cup, Adare Manor, Castlerock, East Cork, Galway Bay and Mannan Castle completed the Finals lineup. They will be joined by Leinster trio Ardee, Edmondstown and Mount Wolseley who previously qualified for the September finale in Knightsbrook.
