A patient punter in Dublin ended a nervous wait on Sunday evening when Dustin Johnson’s win at The Masters saw them scoop a satisfying jackpot of over €11,600.
The anonymous winner took a clever route to the riches by placing a confident €100 accumulator on their BoyleSports account on five odds-on football teams in the latest round of Champions League matches.
Bayern Munich (4/11), Porto (10/11) Man City (2/11), Real Madrid (20/21) and Ajax (8/13) all delivered on November 3rd, but it was more than a week later before the sixth and final selection teed it up at Augusta.
Dustin Johnson stood in the way of the cash haul but he led after every round of The Masters and settled any nerves with a comfortable march to the Green Jacket in Sunday’s final round. That completed the coup for the Dublin punter and soon after the final putt their account was topped up by a grand total of €11,643.88.
Lawrence Lyons, Spokesperson for BoyleSports commented: “Fair play to our Dublin customer who was happy to throw Dustin Johnson in along with some odds-on favourites and sit it out for nearly two weeks. It was certainly worth the wait in the end and we hope the winnings bring a good bit of cheer.”
The Dublin punter wasn’t the only person cashing in on Masters week. For his record breaking win, Dustin Johnson banked over $2million while last placed Jimmy Walker collected a cheque worth over $25,000 for his eight-over par four round tally. The top-25 were paid out in the following riches:
