Newcastlewest captured a valuable Munster pennant in Blarney, winning the boys Inter club Munster final with a brilliant score of 113 points.

The Limerick club finished five points clear of the field, and they were led by David O’Shaughnessy who scored 41 points. Calvin Quinn also beat his handicap with 38 points while Danny Madigan, Ethan O’Reilly and Ronan Shire completed the scoring for Newcastlewest.

Second place went to Douglas Golf Club with Jack O’Brien leading the way for the Cork side with 42 points which was the best score of the day. Ennis’ Eanna McMahon also finished with 42 points as Ennis took third place.
