Learning from the pros

We can all learn a thing or two by watching the pros in person. Just a shame that spectator-free events make such opportunities unlikely this year

Match Play Media and Galway Bay Golf Resort are delighted to confirm that Match Play Media Group and their leading golf publication, Irish Golfer Magazine will be the official sponsor of the Galway Bay Irish Golfer Pro-Am on Thursday 12th September 2019.

Match Play Media are Ireland’s largest golf publishers with monthly print title, The Irish Golfer Magazine, Ireland’s only ABC audited golf magazine. The magazine website www.irishgolfer.ie has over 35,000 unique monthly visitors and the weekly digital magazine, Irish Golfer Weekly is the most read digital golf magazine in Ireland with over 53,000 subscribers.

Speaking on the announcement, Ronan Killeen, Director of Galway Bay Golf Resort, said:

“We are very pleased to announce The Irish Golfer Magazine as the official sponsor of our hugely successful Pro-Am. As well as the sponsorship, the Pro-Am will benefit from the excellent coverage delivered by the Irish Golfer’s leading golf publications in both print and digital formats. We have been working with Matchplay Media for some time and believe they are the perfect fit for our Pro-Am”

Peter Finnan, Director of Irish Golfer Magazine is delighted to support Galway Bay Golf Resort and the PGA in Ireland through the sponsorship of the Pro-Am.

“Irish Golfer Magazine is proud to be the official sponsor of the Galway Bay Pro-Am,” said Finnan.

“PGA in Ireland members and their schedule of events form a key part of the coverage we provide to our readers across all of our print and digital platforms and we are delighted to be able to support them through this sponsorship.

“Irish Golfer Magazine fully supports the development of Irish golf at all levels from juniors to professionals, and PGA professionals play such an important role in this that we felt it imperative to support them not only through our magazine coverage, but also through this sponsorship.”

There are a limited number of teams still available for the Galway Bay Pro-Am sponsored by Irish Golfer.
