David Carey fired his best round of the week to grab a top-10 finish at The Alps Tour’s Open St Francois Guadeloupe this afternoon.

The Castleknock professional signed off on another encouraging week with six birdies on his way to a three-under par 68 and a six-under par tournament total as he claimed a share of ninth overall.

It could have been even better for Carey but for a costly double-bogey to finish, however he led home the Irish challenge once more and a big result looks to be just around the corner for the colourful pro.

Meanwhile, Naas professional, Jonathan Yates signed off with a 68 of his own to grab a share of 15th spot on four-under par.

At the top, Italian Edoardo Liparparelli won the event by two shots at 12-under par and picked up a cheque worth €6,235 for the effort.
