The penultimate stop on the Irish Golfer Series calendar will see players contest a team competition on the O’Meara Course at Carton House, this Friday, October 11.

A field limited to 26 teams of four players will compete in a 1.30pm scramble in an event that will represent your last chance to qualify for this year’s Grand Final at the K Club’s Palmer Course on Sunday, October 27.

With Nature Valley Order of Merit points up for grabs for every player, and with the top-2 teams automatically qualifying for the Grand Final, it truly is all to play for as we make our second trip to Carton House this year.

With prizes up for grabs for the top-4 teams, a welcome goodie bag, a buffet dinner included post-round all at just €260 per team of four there are still limited spots remaining..

Mixed teams are encouraged with 1/10 of the combined handicap in operation on the day while the usual three drives per person rule will also apply.

Nearest the Pin

There’ll be two Nearest the Pin competitions in operation on the day. This will run as a regular individual competition with a MotoCaddy S2 Electric Trolley on the line on one hole and a GolfBuddy RangeFinder also on offer for the other lucky winner.

The Nature Valley Order of Merit points system

After much consideration to ensure the integrity of the Order of Merit was upheld in this team format environment, the following points system will be in place at Carton House on Friday in an event that will determine the final qualifiers for this year’s Grand Final on October 27 at the K Club’s Palmer Course:

1st Place Team – Automatically qualify for Grand Final (0 points per player)

2nd Place Team – Automatically qualify for Grand Final (0 points per player)

3rd Place Team – 36 points allocated to each player for OoM

4th Place Team – 35 points allocated to each player for OoM

5th Place Team – 34 points allocated to each player for OoM

6th Place Team – 33 points allocated to each player for OoM

7th Place Team – 32 points allocated to each player for OoM

8th Place Team – 31 points allocated to each player for OoM

9th Place Team – 30 points allocated to each player for OoM

10th – 25th Place Team – 25 points allocated to each player for OoM
