AIG Ladies Cups & Shields District Finals Round-up

Mountbellow GC were the big winners at the District Finals of the AIG Cups and Shields as their teams won THREE provincial pennants in Ballinrobe.  There we re undoubtedly wild celebrations in Mountbellew following the win of their beloved Galway team in the All-Ireland hurling final but it was matched no doubt by cheering for their ladies teams as they captured the Intermediate Cup with a 3-2 win over Gort, the Challenge Cup with a 4-1 win against Ballyhaunis and the Minor Cup after they defeated Carrick-on-Shannon 3-2.
