On this week’s edition we are joined by PGA Professional Mark O’Mahony to take a look back at all the action from both Tours. It was a big weekend for Team USA as DJ claimed the Saudi International before Brooks Koepka rallied his way to a second WM Phoenix Open. We chat to Cormac Sharvin after a great start to his 2021 campaign that saw him claim his second highest career cheque on invite in Saudi while we also get Shane Lowry’s take on the proposed changes to be made by the R&A and USGA on distance. We hope you enjoy the listen. As always, let us know what you think.

    Hi peter
Listened to the conversation regarding rule changes coming in.
Old saying in golf “drive for show and putt for dough”.
No matter how long the driver is changed the person still has to finish it off on the green.
    Enjoy the podcasts.
    Tks brian

Very true saying, but turning our great courses with little room for expansion into pitch and putt competitions doesn’t seem right to me, or to be good for the future of the sport. If players are hitting 8 irons or less second shots into par 5’s then they’ll eventually get by with half a dozen clubs. If its a choice between sacrificing these great courses or making adjustments to ever changing golf balls then the decision to me is simple.
