Tom McKibbin, Gary Hurley and John Murphy are all in action again as the DP World Tour heads to Thailand for the Thailand Classic with the latter two playing alongside each other for the opening two rounds.
McKibbin came onto the radar last week when he held the halfway lead at the Singapore Classic only for back nine bogeys to halt his charge over the weekend.
The Holywood star has impressed in his rookie season on the DP World Tour with four top-20 finishes in eight starts including a career best 12th last week.
The 20-year-old tees it up with Irish Challenge winner Todd Clements and Sam Hutsby and he feels his game has naturally improved as he looks to meet the standard required on the DP World Tour.
“I just want to see how well I can do,” he told Taylormade. “I know how good I can be. I want to see how that fills the year because I don’t really set goals as in, I want to win this or that, I just go with the flow and see how good I can do, take it week by week.
“Everyone wants to win but I would never say I want to win or win this many times, that would just put pressure on myself, but obviously I’d love to win.
“I learned last year by playing Challenge Tour and making the step up that my game got naturally better playing with better players. I noticed there was a big difference even just from the start, even if you are missing cuts you learn so much and it just elevates your game.”
Hurley and Murphy will play in the final group together with Joshua Lee of the United States and both are in need of some forward momentum.
Hurley arrives following two narrowly missed cuts in succession while Murphy is yet to play weekend golf in his rookie season, missing six cuts in as many starts.
