Jonathan Caldwell got his preparations for this year’s Challenge Tour underway in fine style with a win at the Evolve Tour’s El Valle Open.

After claiming his 2018 Challenge Tour card through last season’s EuroPro Tour Order of Merit, Caldwell is in Spain to get his competitive juices flowing before he starts his Challenge Tour season next month.

And after starting the event slow with an opening 73, he did just that, kicking into gear at El Valle with rounds of 67 and 66 to waltz to a three shot win.
He was meticulous in his golf today, firing five birdies overall with just the one dropped shot coming on the unlucky 13th. All in all, a fine prep run for the Clandeboye professional with bigger challenges yet to come.

Caldwell will again tee it up on Monday morning on the next Evolve Pro series event in Spain.
