Athenry won the Fred Daly title for the second time in their history after a 3.5 to 1.5 victory over Lisburn at Bray Golf Club.

Beaten AIG Irish Close finalist David Kitt was in the team which claimed the win and while he lost his match by one hole the Athenry team were worthy winners on the day with Allan Hill and Cillian Lawless pivotal to the teams success as both won their semi-final and final matches.

Lisburn 1.5 – Athenry 3.5

  1. Marshall lost to Hill 2 & 1

  2. Patton bt Kitt by 1 hole

  3. Robinson lost to Lawless 3 & 2

  4. Shellard halved with Leufer

  5. Stewart lost to O’Connell 4 & 3

​​​Ulster Champions Lisburn had qualified for the final after wins against Dundalk for Kyle Patton, Jack Shellard and Irish Boys International, Aaron Marshall.​
