It was a good start to the Home Internationals for the Irish Ladies and Girls on day one.  The Ladies overcame Scotland 5-4 while the girls put in a dominant display also defeating Scotland 6-3.

The girls are of course defending their crown and today both teams will face their Welsh counterparts who were beaten by England on the opening day.
