Defending Champion Conor Purcell bowed out of the South of Ireland Championships yesterday at the hands of Eanna Griffin who was then beaten himself in the next round by Eugene Smith but is it North of Ireland Champion Rowan Lester who remains the man on form.

Lester (Hermitage) will now face seasoned competitor and past winner Pat Murray (Clontarf) this morning in a draw which sees plenty of Championship winning pedigree remaining despite losing names such as Dawson, Fairweather, Galbraith and Gleeson yesterday.

The weather hasn’t co-operated for this 116th staging of the event and yesterday was no different as gusting winds and squally showers made for tough scoring conditions but the show must go on and play in underway already this morning in round three.

The draw for this morning can be seen here and you can follow all the action.
