Team International leads Team USA 18.5-17.5 after 36 matches of the 2026 Arnold Palmer Cup at Tralee Golf Links.

Round 2 ~ Foursomes

Entering Saturday morning tied 6-6, Team International won the session 6.5-5.5 to lead 12.5-11.5 after 24 matches.

Match 13 was Saturday’s first match out and in. Team USA’s Mackenzie Lee and Kiara Romero won seven of the 13 holes played and went bogey-free to win 6&5 against Madrid, Spain natives and Team International’s Paula Francisco and Paula Martín Sampedro.

“I would say that we both had a little bit of fire in us coming off our matches yesterday since we both lost,” said Romero, the top-ranked women’s golfer in the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR®). “I think that we were definitely fired up this morning and really wanted to go out there and win our match, so we played great.”

“I think we were quite used to the conditions at this point now,” Lee said. “We played on Wednesday when it was gusting like 37mph, so this is pretty mild compared to that. With Alternate Shot, the format itself really helps us take one shot at a time, so I think it really helped. We had a good time out there too, and can’t get any better than that.”

Team International then collected victories in six of the next nine matches, five by at least a 3&2 margin. Included was Cayetana Fernández Garcia-Poggio/Marta Silchenko’s 5&4 win in Match 20 and Rianne Malixi/Patience Rhodes’ 6&5 win in Match 24. Match 17 was tied between Veronika Kedronova and Maria Jose Marin and Team USA’s Kylie Chong and Jasmine Koo.

Jack Turner/Willy Walsh in Match 14, Josiah Gilbert/William Jennings in Match 15, Anna Davis/Farah O’Keefe in Match 21, and Max Herendeen/Cayden Pope in Match 23 also carded victories for Team USA.

Round 3 ~ Mixed Foursomes

Saturday afternoon’s thrilling matches saw each team earn six points to begin Sunday’s Final Round Singles matches up 18.5-17.5.

Fernández García-Poggio and Harry Takis won or tied 15 of the 16 holes in their 4&2 win in Match 25 over Team USA’s Kihei Akina and Kylie Chong. After Match 26 between Martín Sampedro/Swanwick and Macy Pate/Willy Walsh came in with a tie, Team International’s Connor Graham and Lauren Kim used wins on holes 13-15 to pull away from Gilbert and Koo in Match 27, winning 2&1.

Team USA battled back before to end the day, earning 5.5 of the final nine points on Saturday. Lee/Connor Williams won Match 32 6&4, Jacob Modleski/Bailey Shoemaker won Match 29 2UP, Megan Propeck/Turner won Match 31 1UP, Wheaton Ennis/O’Keefe won Match 35 3&1, and Davis/Pope won Match 33 1UP. Even while never leading in the match, Team International’s Jack Buchanan and Marta Silchenko tied Match 34 with Max Herendeen and Chloe Kovelesky.

Team International’s Francisco and Niall Sheils Donegan grabbed the Match 36 lead on their eighth hole before holding off a late charge from Team USA’s Jennings and Avery Weed to win Saturday’s final match 2UP.
