There’s a break in the season after a hectic major schedule on both the men’s and women’s professional tours. Some big name Irish players are putting the feet up but life goes on.

PGA Tour

Seamus Power has had a stop start season to date, partly down to his conditional PGA Tour status leaving him out of Signature Events and majors which were shoehorned into a bizarre run between the Players Championship and the PGA Championship last week.

This week he is in Texas for the CJ Cup Byron Nelson at TPC Craig Ranch where he searches for some crucial FedEx Cup points.

The West Waterford man is just outside the all important top-100 places on the FedEx Cup rankings in 112th place. He is also clinging to his place inside the top-200 in the official world golf rankings at 189th following a T60 at the Myrtle Beach Classic two weeks ago which was his first start in five weeks.

He will hope that a summer run can improve his fortunes.

Ladies European Tour

Anna Foster, Áine Donegan, Annabel Wilson and Sara Byrne are in Morocco for the Lalla Meryem Cup at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam.

HotelPlanner Tour

Ten Irish players head to Odense Eventyr Golf for the Danish Golf Challenge after what has been a fruitful season on the smaller tours.

Recent Clutch Pro Tour winner John Murphy is joined by JR Galbraith, Dermot McElroy, Liam Nolan, Max Kennedy, Ronan Mullarney, Conor Purcell, Mark Power, James Sugrue and Gary Hurley whose third place finish last week moved him into 16th place on the Road to Mallorca Rankings, one place shy of the DP World Tour places.

Cormac Sharvin is second reserve.

Sunshine Tour

Liam Grehan and Rowan Lester are in action at the SunBet Challenge hosted by Sun Boardwalk.

Alps Tour

Sam Murphy, Robert Moran, Hugh Foley and Cathal Mac Canna are in France for the Lacanau Alps Open.

LET Access

Canice Screene, Olivia Hunt and Hannah Lee-McNamara (A) tee it up in the Allegria Ladies Open.
