Robert Brazill, Mark Power and John-Ross Galbraith are all within striking distance heading into the final round of the Al Mouj Challenge at Al Mouj Club in Oman.
Brazill, who shot a course record 63 on his first start of the season last week has found more consistency so far this time around and has carded back to back rounds of 69 to lie on six-under and just two shots off the lead.
Starting on the back nine on Wednesday, the Naas man birdied the 12th and 13th but turned in level par after a double bogey seven on the par-5 16th.
Brazill regained his momentum and finished strong to keep his hopes of a second professional win this year alive with birdies on the 3rd, 7th and 8th holes to climb into a share of fifth place.
One shot behind Brazill are Power and Galbraith who have matched each other with rounds of 68 and 71 over the first two days to share tenth place on five-under.
James Sugrue lay just one shot off the pace after an opening 68 but he has fallen seven shots behind after a damaging second round of 75 to lie on one-under.
Marc Boucher made the cut comfortably on two-over.
