The big tournaments keep on coming as we enter the pre-Masters run in on the PGA Tour while there is also action on LIV Golf, the Ladies European Tour, the Epson Tour and the Challenge Tour.

PGA Tour

Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry head for TPC Sawgrass and the Players Championship.

McIlroy has a mixed record at TPC Sawgrass. He will be making a 15th career start at The Players, where he has missed the cut six times but also posted four top-10s, including his win six years ago.

Lowry on the other hand has a solid if unspectacular record at the PGA Tour’s flagship event.

The Offaly man made his debut in 2015, missing the cut and after missing three cuts in his first five appearances he has finshes of 8th, T13, T35 and T19.

Ladies European Tour

Lauren Walsh, Anna Foster and Annabel Wilson will hope to be back in action in Australia this week after dodging the cyclone which cancelled the Australian WPGA.

It’s the Australian Women’s Classic for the Irish trio and although the worst of the weather has been and gone, the tournament has still felt the brunt of the storm.

Following a course inspection this morning at Coffs Harbour Golf Club, Golf NSW, the WPGA Tour of Australasia, and the Ladies European Tour (LET) have confirmed the tournament has been reduced to 54 holes.

This decision comes following heavy rainfall and flooding in the Coffs coast region during and in the immediate aftermath of Tropical Cyclone Alfred.

The 2025 Australian Women’s Classic will begin on Friday morning, with the first tee time being approximately 7:30am local time.

The staff and greenskeepers at Coffs Harbour Golf Club are working tirelessly to alleviate the storm’s impact to ensure the course is ready for play later this week.

Epson Tour

Sara Byrne returns looking to bounce back from a missed cut last week.

LIV Golf

Tom McKibbin and Graeme McDowell were both in the mix heading into Sunday’s final round in Hong Kong and they will be looking to keep their foot on the gas at LIV Golf Singapore.

It’s the first of a double header in Singapore for McKibbin who will stay on for an extra week to make his return to the DP World Tour for the first time since leaving for LIV Golf.

HotelPlanner Tour

Liam Nolan and Alex Maguire fly the Irish flag in India at the Kolkata Challenge.

Nolan is looking to keep his DP World Tour card bid going and will tee off on Thursday ranked fifth in the Road to Mallorca rankings with the top-20 after November’s grand final securing promotion to the top tier.

Maguire on the other hand is making his first appearance of the season.
