Leona Maguire is inside the top-50 heading into the final round of the Blue Bay LPGA in China.
Maguire carded a one-under-par round of 71 to move up fourteen places into a share of 44th position on three-over.
The Solheim Cup star took a while to get going, after bogeying her second hole she had to wait until the 12th for her first birdie of the day and she added another on the par-3 16th to shoot in red figures for the first time this week.
It was an improved performance off the tee for Maguire who hit twelve of fourteen fairways and thirteen of eighteen greens, a marked change from seven of each on Friday.
Maguire still trails Rio Takeda by twelve shots heading into the final day.
Takeda carded a three-under-par round of 69 to open up a three shot advantage on nine-under.
The Japanese star breezed to the turn in 33 with birdies on the third, sixth and eighth holes.
She recovered from back to back bogeys on 12 and 13 with birdies on 14 and 16 to ensure she put clear daylight between herself and Gigi Stoll.
