Tiger Woods was supposed to make his 2025 PGA Tour debut at last week’s Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines, but the 15-time major winner withdrew on Monday, saying he was not yet ready to compete after losing his mother, Kultida, the week prior.

But the bereavement isn’t putting a stop to Woods taking to the SoFi Centre where he’s joined by Kevin Kisner and Tom Kim as their Jupiter Links side square off against Cameron Young, Rickie Fowler and Matt Fitzpatrick of New York Golf Club.

With two defeats from two, New York are joint bottom of the league with Rory McIlroy’s Boston Common who have yet to get a point in three outings, while Jupiter Links secured a sudden-death chip-off victory over McIlroy’s side on week three and have a 1-1 record.

With three TGL matches being held on Presidents Day, each going to the wire, hopes are high that tonight’s match will again bring drama as Woods and Young are set to hit the opening tee shots and square off in singles for holes 10 and 14. Kisner and Fowler will be next up, while Kim and Fitzpatrick will play the anchor roles.

The action kicks off at midnight on Sky Sports, and is a must win for New York in particular if they want to push their way into the top four for the season-ending playoffs.

One new hole is set to debut tonight. ‘Sterling’, which will be the 10th hole and contested by Woods and Young in the first singles hole, is a 554-yard par-5, so will provide another opportunity to see how Tiger’s speed compares to that of Young as the New York native is one of the bigger hitters on tour.
