With most Americans celebrating a day off for Presidents Day, the TGL is going all out to capture the public’s imagination with three matches set to take place at the SoFi arena and a fourth to follow tomorrow.

Shane Lowry’s Bay Golf Club side will play back-to-back matches on Monday, taking on the Atlanta Drive side in the first match – the second on the card – and will face Rory McIlroy’s Boston Common GC in the final match of the night.

Lowry will only be involved in Bay GC’s second match, however, with Min Woo Lee joining Wyndham Clark and Ludvig Åberg for the Atlanta Drive tie, before the Offalyman replaces the Australian for the final match of the night.

For McIlroy’s Boston Common, Hideki Matsuyama comes in for Adam Scott as he, McIlroy and Keegan Bradley go in search of Boston’s first TGL points.

The action kicks off at 6pm Irish time with the table-topping LA Golf Club and Sahith Theegala, Justin Rose and Tommy Fleetwood facing Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay and Billy Horschel, with Atlanta Drive then going back-to-back against the Bay at 9pm and the Bay versus Boston Common match getting underway at midnight.

Completing the week’s TGL action is the match between Tiger Woods’ Jupiter Links GC and the New York Golf Club, with the latter rooted to the foot of the table after two defeats from two, but with a worse points differential than that of Boston GC.

Having now had two of the five matches where the ‘Hammer’ has not been thrown, league organisers have modified the initiative and each team will now have three hammers which they can utilise at any point they wish. If both teams opt to use a hammer on the same hole, three points will be available, but each side can only throw a hammer once on a particular hole.
