Harrington shares lead at first major of the year

Pádraig Hárrington grabbed himself a share of the lead before play was suspended during the opening round of the Regions Tradition on the PGA TOUR Champions.

Harrington shares the lead with Chris DiMarco on seven-under-par in the first senior major of the season.

The Dubliner, a three-time major winner between 2007-08, birdied four holes in a row from the fourth before adding another on the ninth to turn in 31.

The former US Senior Open winner added further birdies on the 2nd and 3rd – his 11th and 12th – before play was halted when he was in the middle of the par-5 5th.

Harrington is playing alongside 2011 Open champion Darren Clarke who is on three-under-par.
