Conor O’Rourke made light of any tiredness he might have had at the Clutch Pro Tour’s Galvin Green Championship in Tandridge on Wednesday.

O’Rourke played in the PGA in Ireland K Club South Pro-Am on Tuesday and quickly jetted off to compete in the latest Clutch Pro Tour event where he carded a one-under 69 to share seventh place and just one shot off a six-way tie for the lead.

The K Club man had been in the lead but bogeyed the 16th and double bogeyed the 17th to settle for one-under.

O’Rourke birdied the third hole before a dropped shot on 5 was followed by two birdies in three holes to close out his opening nine. It looked like he was going to be onto something really good when he birdied 14 and 15 to get to four-under but he will have to do it all over again in the final round.

Stuart Grehan is also well placed on one-over-par and he lies three shots back of the lead while Daniel Mulligan is two shots further back alongside Daniel Brennan and Cameron Raymond.

Rowan Lester is four-over with John Ross Galbraith is on plus five. Tom Dowdall and Conor Hickey are on six-over.
