UKG, a leading provider of HR, payroll, and workforce management solutions for all people, today announced the #11 world-ranked Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour player, Leona Maguire, as one of its newest ambassadors.

“We’re proud to welcome Leona to our inspiring and diverse group of ambassadors,” said Nicole Bello, group vice president, EMEA, at UKG. “Her addition to UKG is a symbol of our continued commitment to supporting athletes who share our values. It’s an honour to partner with yet another LPGA Tour professional who is making important strides in the women’s game.”

The Cavan star joins Team UKG following a historic 2022 in which she registered three Top 10 finishes at LPGA majors and became the first Irish golfer to win a title on the LPGA Tour at the Drive On Championship in Fort Myers, Florida.

As a double Olympian, Maguire was a crucial member of Team Europe in the 2021 Solheim Cup where she broke the all-time rookie points record and went undefeated in all of her matches to help lead her team to victory.

Away from competition, Maguire is a proud ambassador for the Irish American Partnership, which connects the two communities directly with education and community programs and have committed to donating $1 million to Irish schools over the next four years. Inspired by her family of teachers, Maguire works to equip schools across Ireland with the resources needed to educate and inspire the next generation of Irish leaders.

“I’m delighted to be joining such an established group of athletes as a UKG Ambassador and to be representing an organisation that shares my values,” said Maguire. “I’m looking forward to working closely with the UKG team on some great initiatives, and I’m excited for what 2023 will bring.”

Maguire (InstagramTwitter) joins a diverse and growing roster of UKG athletes including Gaby López, Mexico’s highest-ranked golfer and recent addition to Team UKG. Both Maguire and López will debut the UKG logo at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions in Orlando, Florida, from January 19-22.

UKG partners with more than a dozen professional athletes around the world, each outstanding on and off their fields of play and whose characters align with UKG company values of United, Kind, and Growing. UKG Ambassadors assist UKG in promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging with each appearance, match, game, or tournament, paving the way for the next generation and serving their communities.

Maguire and López join athletes on the UKG team of ambassadors including fellow LPGA Tour stars Marina Alex, Brittany Altomare, Brooke Henderson, Megan Khang, and Lexi Thompson; PGA TOUR stars J.T. Poston, Sahith Theegala, and Will Zalatoris; PGA TOUR Champions golfers Fred Couples and Notah Begay III, who also is a staple on Golf Channel and NBC broadcasts; recently retired #1 women’s tennis player in the world, Ash Barty; National Women’s Soccer League stars Christen Press and Sydney Leroux; and Dan Cnossen, a former U.S. Navy SEAL and seven-time Paralympic medalist.
