The European Challenge Tour has announced that Hotel VIVA Golf, part of Hotels VIVA and Resorts, will be the Official Hotel of the 2022 Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final supported by The R&A.

The final event of the 2022 Road to Mallorca will take place at Club de Golf Alcanada, Mallorca, from November 3-6 as the top 45 players on the Road to Mallorca Rankings battle it out for one of the coveted 20 DP World Tour cards on offer and a share of the €500,000 prize fund. As things stand, Holywood’s Tom McKibbin is the best placed Irishman in the standings in 13th while John Murphy is in 30th and Ruaidhri McGee is in 43rd.

They’ll be hoping to book their stay at Hotel VIVA Golf which continues its association with the Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final after also being the Official Hotel of the 2019 edition of the season finale, where Francesco Laporta secured victory in wire-to-wire fashion to win both the event and the season-long Rankings.

Hotel VIVA Golf is an adults-only hotel strategically located on the peaceful beachfront which offers breath-taking views over Alcudia Bay. The hotel also offers excellent Spa facilities with a range of treatments on offer and the outdoor pool, bar and restaurant areas have undergone recent refurbishment. Guests can explore the glorious Mallorcan countryside using the cycling facilities and for golf lovers, Club de Golf Alcanada is just a ten-minute drive away.

As part of Hotel VIVA Golf’s partnership with the Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final, all tournament staff and international media will stay in their luxurious rooms during the week of the tournament, while the 45 players teeing it up at Club de Golf Alcanada will be offered a special discounted rate.

Chris Atkinson, Championship Director of the Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final, said: “We are delighted to be returning to Hotel VIVA Golf for the second time after being treated to their fantastic hospitality in 2019.

“I would like to thank Hotel VIVA Golf for their support of the Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final and through our collective partnership, we are looking forward to an unforgettable week in Mallorca.”

Magdalena Figuerola Femenias, Communications Manager at Hotels VIVA and Resorts, said: “We are proud to be, once again, the Official Hotel of the prestigious Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final.

“Golf is an integral part of the Hotel VIVA Golf’s history and with golf tourism growing year after year, we have continued to deliver complete experiences for the fans of this majestic sport.”
