The wait for Seamus Power to secure a top 25 spot in the Web.com Tour finals will go on for another day as Tour officials postponed the final round of the Web.com Tour Championship until Monday due to heavy rains that entered the Atlantic Beach area Sunday, in turn leaving Atlantic Beach Country Club unplayable.

The West Waterford star sits in 22nd spot just three places inside the top-25 who will earn full PGA Tour membership, ahead of the final round.

Power finished 130th at the end of the season and earned some $US 650,000 in his first full season on the main Tour which wasn’t enough to retain his card automatically.

With a full day to get the course ready for tournament play, officials plan to start the final round on Monday at 1pm Irish time.

The final-round postponement marks the first for the Web.com Tour Championship since the tournament’s inception in 1993. Last year, the tournament was cancelled due to the pending threat of Hurricane Matthew.
