Richard Kilpatrick warmed up for the Irish Club Professional tournament by winning the Pro-Am curtain-raiser at Dromoland Castle on Wednesday.

In stunning sunshine the Banbridge GC professional carded a fine five under par round of 67, finishing three shots ahead of second placed David Higgins (Waterville Links) and Cian McNamara (Monkstown GC)
Damien McGrane guided the Ballykisteen trio of Pat Barrett, Clement Hehir and Bill Hanley to success in the team competition with an excellent return of 93 points.
The 36-hole Irish Club Professional event, sponsored by Carr Golf and Citroen Ireland gets underway at 7.50am on Thursday morning.
Defending champion Higgins is off at 9.30am alongside Damien McGrane and Colm Moriarty (Drive Golf Performance).
