Robin Dawson fired a five under third round to lead by one heading to the final day.

It took a sensational round of -5 by Robin Dawson (Maynooth) to take the lead at the South African Amateur Strokeplay in George.  Dawson fired 6 birdies in his round to hold the clubhouse lead on twelve under par heading into the final days play at Kingswood, just one stroke ahead of Edgar Catherine from France.

John Ross Galbraith (Whitehead) shot level par (70) for a seven under total, five shots off the pace while Alex Gleeson (Castle) also shot level par and is at two under par heading into the last day.

Of the other Irish, Colin Fairweather is on +1 and T28, Stuart Grehan is on +2 and T32 while Kevin Le Blanc and Colm Campbell are both on +4 and T43.
