Paul Dunne is in a share of sixth place at the halfway stage of Asian Tour Qualifying School as he looks to book his place in next week’s Final Stage.

Dunne was in second place on six-under after an opening round of 65 but has slipped slightly despite moving to eight-under after a second round of 69 at Grand Prix Golf Club in Thailand.

Declan Kenny’s hopes of advancing to the Final Stage are still very much alive.

Kenny is on the mark in a share of 19th place on five-under after rounds of 67 and 70 while former DP World Tour card holder Kevin Phelan is a shot further back after successive rounds of 69.

Meanwhile, at Springfield Royal Country Club, Niall Kearney is one-under-par after rounds of 73 and 70.

The Royal Dublin man who also held a DP World Tour card has work to do from 31st position and is eight shots off the lead while Michael Young is two-over.
