The latest event in our 2021 Irish Golfer Series was a real sizzler as players battled soaring temperatures at the pristine Luttrellstown Castle course in Dublin.
With our usual €5,000 worth of prizes and Grand Final places on offer, players were put through the wringer while some were made sweat in a highly competitive day where the scoring matched the weather.
In Category one, past champion Jason Ryan returned to winning ways with a superb 39 points off 10, taking home the TaylorMade SIM2 Driver while booking his place on familiar turf for November’s Grand Final at the K Club.
In Category Two, Damien McClaffery hit the magic 40 points to seal the deal, adding a new TaylorMade SIM2 Max Driver to his arsenal while also guaranteeing his Grand Final Place.
Ewelina Halik hit all the right notes in Category Three as her 39 points beat all to the TaylorMade SIM2 Max Driver and a K Club date for November. Patrick McCarvill and Ellen Donovan honed in on the Nearest to the Pin prizes while Darren McCormack’s 73 (BB6) won the Best Gross on the day.
