Local Augusta National looper Gray Moore cashed in on a rare opportunity to caddie during the Masters.
Tommy Fleetwood posted his best ever finish at the Masters with a T3 result earning him just over $1 million in the process.
However, Fleetwood’s long time caddie Ian Finnis was forced to miss the event through illness so Fleetwood called upon the services of Moore for the week.
The 70-year-old local caddie has over 30 years of experience looping at Augusta so perhaps it was a match made in heaven.
The exact figures are unknown but it is mooted that Moore earned a $83,200 windfall after Fleetwood’s performance.
“I’ve known Gray since I first came to Augusta and I asked him to caddie this week,” Fleetwood said. “It’s been absolutely amazing, and I’ve loved spending time with him on the golf course this week.
