Anna Foster’s Auburn team romped to an eleven shot victory at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic at the University of Georgia Golf Course.
Auburn were thirteen-under through thirty six holes before the final round was cancelled due to inclement weather.
Heading into what was supposed to be the third and final round, Foster was three-over-par after rounds of 75 and 72.
The Elm Park golfer shared 22nd place and was eight shots off her teammate Elina Sinz who won by the minimum on -5.
A level-par round in round two was a solid return from Foster who dropped three shots in two holes at the start of her back nine, bogeying the 11th and double bogeying the par-5 12th.
Foster dropped a shot at the 4th but reeled off birdies on the 2nd, 7th, 8th and 17th.
It was a good week for Cork’s Mairead Martin who shot an impressive one-under 71 for a one-over total. The Louisville student rose up twelve places into a share of 14th place courtesy of a strong finish.
Having found herself two over through four holes, Martin went on the charge with birdies on 7, 12, 15 and 17 before letting one go on 18.
