In conjunction with our partners at Clubs to Hire, IrishGolfer.ie are delighted to give you the chance to join us in the Rioja region of Spain later this year.

‘What do I have to do?’ we hear you ask. Well, it’s rather easy. Just register for the Race to Rioja HERE and if you reduce your handicap by 10% within the required timeframe, you’re in the draw and could be joining us for golf, craic and of course a drop of Rioja in August!

The competition is open to all golfers who hold an official and regulated Golfing Union or similar golf handicap and the 10% drop must have occurred and been registered with us (by you) anytime before July 12th 2020.

At that time, 16 golfers will be chosen to attend the Race to Rioja Final which starts on August 27th 2020 and includes;

A complimentary one night stay at the event hotel on the night of the final

18 holes of golf on the Championship course at Logrono, Spain

Attendance at the Gala dinner & prize-giving

A welcome Rioja goodie bag

A VIP visit to a top Rioja winery

Likely several glasses of Rioja…..

WHAT ARE THE RULES?

All entries must be made online HERE and entrants must give their full name, email address, phone number, home golf club and their exact handicap at time of entry.

Golfers can enter the competition up to and including the 1st July 2020.

Once the golfer reaches their handicap target, they must email rioja@clubstohire.com to report the handicap reduction.

Every golfer must state their handicap at entry and handicap at date of confirmed reduction. All entries will be checked by the organisers with the golfer’s home club.

The competition will close on the 12th of July 2020 and the draw for the 16 finalists will take place. No submissions will be accepted after this date.

All winners will be notified by email and published on the respective partner websites.

All decisions by the organising committee will be final.

All winners must arrange their own transport to the final venue and any player unable to attend the final will be replaced by a wait-listed participant.

Regular updates on qualifiers will appear during the year and your entry details will not be shared with any third parties.
