Lauren Walsh will have to wait to begin her quest for a LPGA Tour card after day one of the final stage of Q-Series was postponed due to unplayable course conditions.

Walsh had originally missed out on a place at the final stage in an earlier qualifying event, but a strong run at the end of the Ladies European Tour season saw her finish in the top-10 on the order of merit to punch her ticket here and give herself a second bite of the cherry.

The LPGA Tour said in a statement:

The first round of the Final Qualifying portion of the 2025 LPGA Qualifying Series was postponed due to unplayable course conditions before play began on Thursday.

The Rules Officials have assessed the golf course, and with expected drying periods tonight into tomorrow morning, we will start Round 1 at 8:00 a.m. CST. In conjunction with the Superintendent, the Rules Officials will check the golf course for playability first thing tomorrow morning.

The intention is to complete the full 90 holes of play, now extending the tournament into Tuesday, December 9th. Should there be additional delays during the tournament, further adjustments to the number of holes for the tournament may be implemented.
