There were plenty of low scores around the Club at Snoqualmie Ridge in Washington during the second round of the Boeing Classic and hoping to add to his five wins on the PGA Champions Tour was Tyrone’s Darren Clarke.

The 56-year-old managed a two-under-par round two which takes him to seven-under-par for the tournament and he sits in a tie for seventh place having played steady golf.

The course was in great scoring condition on Saturday, with some players making the most of it such as 2009 Open champion Stewart Cink who had a flurry of birdies at the back end of the front nine which kickstarted something in the American. The 52-year-old seemed to make the game look very easy as he made eight birdies and kept his scorecard bogey free.

His flawless round sees Cink take a three-shot lead over Steven Alker and Paul Goydos who are in a tie for second place.

Joining Cink in carding the lowest round of the day was South Korean Yang Yong-eun as the 53-year-old climbed 50 places to enter the final round in T19, making seven birdies, an eagle and a bogey to put him at eight-under for the day and four-under for the tournament.
