Sara Byrne and Lauren Walsh both progressed to the Final Stage of LPGA Q-School after they came through the penultimate stage of the Q-Series in Florida.
Both players will be looking to join Leona Maguire and Stephanie Meadow in the big time in America as their fledgling professional careers continue to progress.
Byrne was relatively comfortable during all four of her rounds as she carded scores of 67, 73, 69 and 68 across the Panther and Bobcat Courses to qualify in.a share of sixth place on eleven-under-par, just three shots shy of medallist honours.
The Dromoland Castle star teed off already inside the top-10 and in relative comfort and a front nine of two birdies and one bogey kept her on track to progress and she ended up doing it in style.
A back nine of four birdies and just one dropped shot saw her home in 33.
Meanwhile Lauren Walsh reeled off three birdies in four holes on her front nine to propel her back inside the cut mark.
Walsh started on the back nine in her final round and two bogeys in her first three holes put her chances in major doubt, but the Ladies European Tour rookie responded with birdies on 14, 15 and 17 to get back inside the cut and she closed with ten successive pars to progress on the number at four-under-par after a round of 71.
“I have enjoyed my time on the LET but I would love to get out and compete against the best in the world on the LPGA,” said Walsh.
By virtue of competing at Second Stage, both players were guaranteed Epsom Tour Category I or Category K status for 2025, but after making it through to Final Qualifying they guarantee Epsom Tour Category C status which is the second tier in America.
Walsh already has her LET card for next season while Byrne has the option of Q-School in Europe.
