Sara Byrne is sitting comfortably inside the cut mark on seven-under-par heading into the final round of the LPGA Q-Series Pre-Qualifying Stage.

The Douglas star carded a third round of 70 to sit in a share of 15th place.

Playing on the Indian Wells course, Byrne opened with a bogey but birdies on the 6th and 8th got her under par of the round.

Set to bid goodbye to the amateur ranks after next week’s Curtis Cup at Sunningdale, where she will be joined by Aine Donegan and Beth Coulter, the Cork star rolled in three successive birdies from the 14th and despite double bogeying the 18th she is still in a very comfortable position.

Byrne is eight shots inside the cut mark with the top-95 and ties advancing to the next stage.

Aine Donegan and Anna Foster missed the 54-hole cut.
