Tom McKibbin continued his ascent towards the top-100 in the Official World Golf Ranking after a fourth place finish at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters.
It’s McKibbin’s best finish of the DP World Tour season so far after making six cuts from six starts and two further top-16 finishes.
The Holywood star battled hard on Sunday in Doha but ultimately came up three shots shy of Rikuya Hoshino who held off the pack for his first DP World Tour win.
McKibbin has risen to 135th in the world – a career high for the 21 year-old as he continues to improve.
Meanwhile, Rory McIlroy remains world number two having skipped the Waste Management Phoenix Open in Arizona while Séamus Power remains outside the top-100 at 107 and Shane Lowry will spend a second week outside the top-50 at 53rd.
