Rowan Lester had a disappointing day and fell down the leaderboard at Frilford Heath, as American Hunter Howard won a playoff to take the ClutchPro Tour victory.
Hermitage man Lester, the only Irishman to make the cut, shot a disappointing two-over par 74 to fall to one-under and a tie for 45th. Lester mixed four birdies with four bogeys and a triple bogey on the fourth hole.
Hunter Howell defeated home players Ryan Evans and George Mason in a playoff after all three finished on 13-under par.
The American shot a one-over par round on the opening day but followed that with an eight-under 64 in round 2 and a six-under 66 on the final day to get into a playoff he would subsequently win.
Howell takes home the first prize of eight thousand pounds as the Clutch Pro Tour season continues.
Evans and Mason took home five thousand pounds each after play-off heartbreak
