Brendan McCarroll returned a level par 72 to claim a share of 2nd place in Spain as the Evolve Pro Tour event at Lo Romero came to a close.

The Narin and Portnoo professional finished the tournament on seven under par, six shots behind runaway winner, Daniel Brown from England.

After rounds of 69 and 68 over the first two days, McCarroll would’ve been hoping for a quick start today in order to put some pressure on the leader, but things got off to a shaky beginning.

A double bogey at the 1st would’ve been a bitter pill to swallow with hopes so high, but Brendan hung tough. Three pars followed to steady the ship before back-to-back birdies reinvigorated his challenge.

A bogey on 7 soon followed yet, despite the lead some way out of reach, there was still plenty to play for. He played his next eleven holes in one under par and if it wasn’t for a frustrating bogey at the last he would’ve claimed outright second.

Still, it was a fine early season effort for Brendan and something on which to build. Great playing!
