IGM Columnist Stephanie Meadow has bounced back from recent disappointments and returned a second round 74 to make the cut on five over par at the Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open in Dundonald.
Sitting on +3 after round one Meadow needed to put some work in yesterday and she was going along nicely until a bogey on 16 (her 8th) was followed by another on 17 (her 9th) to leave her needing to make up some ground. A par on 18 steadied the ship but she still needed a birdie on the 9th (her 18th) to make the cut, but birdie it she did and she was all set for the weekend.
The event is being led by America’s Cristie Kerr on -5 after a second round 73 with Karrie Webb from Australia following closely behind on -4 after a 75 yesterday. There are only four other players under par for the event following a tough day for scoring on Friday.
