Peter O’Keeffe shot a course record as he dominated to win the Pinergy Woodbrook Senior Scratch Cup on Sunday.
The Douglas man carded a course record seven-under 65 in the morning before adding a three-under 69 in the afternoon to post a 36-hole total of ten-under-par and a six shot win.
O’Keeffe was bogey free in round one with five birdies and an eagle and his card will hang in the clubhouse for quite a while.
The Walker Cup panelist held a four shot lead over Naas man Robert Brazill but he quickly pulled clear with two opening birdies in his second round before a bogey saw him turn in one-under.
O’Keeffe added further birdies on the 10th and 14th to hit double digits.
Brazill carded rounds of 69 and 71 to take second place on four-under-par while Irish Close champion Quentin Carew and John Cunningham shared third on level-par.
